Volunteering for Pickford Film Center
Pickford Film Center uses volunteers regularly to bring the show to our audience. We are proud to have a vibrant and creative group of film lovers that are willing to help us out. Volunteers provide a key service to PFC helping present the best possible film experience in Bellingham. PFC thanks its volunteers for showing such dedication to the theatre and keeping it running and in good order.
“I love film and I love Pickford Film Center – how do I become a volunteer?”
PFC has many varying needs for volunteers, but for the most part we need people to come down to Pickford Film Center (1318 Bay St) and work a shift. A shift may involve cleaning the auditorium, selling concessions, tearing tickets, and finally some cleaning after the film begins (a food handler’s permit is now mandatory). The tasks performed involve stooping, sweeping, wiping counters, money handling, and operating a popcorn machine. For each shift you work we provide a pass for you to come back and enjoy a film on us. Save up two and bring a date.
|“Volunteering at the Pickford has been a great way to get involved in the closely-knit community of downtown Bellingham. The broad spectrum of films offered at the Pickford is bested only by its very knowledgeable staff and volunteers who show a true passion for all kinds of film. It has been an amazing experience watching the community help the PFC meet its Digital Deadline, and I am grateful to have been even a small part of that.”
|“Volunteering at the PFC is all about the people–the staff, the other volunteers, and most importantly, our customers. I look forward to each shift for the fun, camaraderie, and opportunity to contribute to the PFC’s mission to bring the best in film to Bellingham and Whatcom County.”
