Son of White Mare (1981)

THIRD EYE series SPONSORED BY THIRD PLANET BOUTIQUE<div>In this dreamlike Hungarian folk myth, a horse goddess gives birth to three powerful brothers who set out into the Underworld to save three princesses from three evil dragons and reclaim their ancestors' lost kingdom.</div><div><br></div><div>CURATED BY MARI, PROJECTIONIST</div><div>I chose <i>Son of the White Mare</i> because it is a film that deserves to be experienced on the big screen, yet few audiences in America have ever had the opportunity to see it theatrically. The original 1981 film never received a theatrical release in the United States, and a planned theatrical run for the 2019 4K restoration was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. With its fluid movement, circular transitions, electric colors, and dreamlike voice acting, the film creates a singular visual experience that perfectly captures the power and strangeness of myth. It is an absolute must-see for any fan of animation.</div>Adventure, Animation, FantasyPT1H26M2027-02-06HUhu
