Keanu Takes a Trip
Bay St. Outdoor Cinema (formerly Rooftop Cinema) is Pickford Film Center’s summer outdoor movie series happening on Bay Street directly outside of our flagship cinema. This year, take a trip with Keanu for Speed and The Matrix followed by Sunset Flicks: silent movies shorts with live music performed by members of the Bellingham Symphony Orchestra!
Thanks to our partners Bellingham Symphony Orchestra, Brett McCandlis Brown & Conner, Structures and World’s Best Trivia, for providing event partnership, sponsorship, beer and entertainment before the show. Beer garden and food vendors will be available starting at 7:00 PM. Films begin at dusk!
Come early for entertainment, raffles, food and drinks.

Silent movie shorts with live music performed by members of the Bellingham Symphony Orchestra. See comedy gold with Laurel and Hardy in Big Business (1929), and western drama with the legendary William S. Hart in Bad Buck of Santa Ynez (1915). Plus a Koko the Clown cartoon, stop motion animation by Ladislas Starevich, a French satire, and film of the Seattle waterfront shot in 1897. The live accompaniment will include new scores written especially for the evening's show by local composers.

Different vendors are serving food and beverages at each Outdoor Cinema event. Structures provides beer and cider in the beer garden for attendees over the age of 21
