Experience Edgar Wright’s iconic Cornetto Trilogy! 🍦🎬
Rooftop Cinema is Pickford Film Center’s summer outdoor movie series happening on top of the Commercial St. downtown parkade. This year, dive into Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and The World’s End—three genre-blending films starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. From zombie rom-com to action-packed buddy cop adventures, and sci-fi thrills, each film is a masterclass in comedy and storytelling. Wright’s meticulous direction transforms the mundane into the extraordinary, employing rapid cuts, visual gags, and homages to the genre cinema that inspired him to make three of the greatest action-comedies ever put to film.

Shaun lives a supremely uneventful life, which revolves around his girlfriend, his mother, and, above all, his local pub. This gentle routine is threatened when the dead return to life and make strenuous attempts to snack on ordinary Londoners.
Former London constable Nicholas Angel finds it difficult to adapt to his new assignment in the sleepy British village of Sandford. Not only does he miss the excitement of the big city, but he also has a well-meaning oaf for a partner. However, when a series of grisly accidents rock Sandford, Angel smells something rotten in the idyllic village.
