THE QUEENS’ VERNACULAR
Chris E. Vargas, a video maker and interdisciplinary artist, and Greg Youmans, a film scholar and writer, curate this series of essential and experimental queer cinema. The series takes its name from the 1972 book The Queens’ Vernacular: A Gay Lexicon by Bruce Rodgers and previously has included underground queer classics such as Chavela, Funeral Parade of the Roses, Welcome to this House, Bound, and more.
